“Time moves slowly, but passes quickly.”
-Alice Walker, The Color Purple
It feels like the month of September is just one day.
That’s what time passes quickly when you never think about it at all.
Time moves slowly when you have something to do.
Maybe I guess if you are working on a project, whether it is a novel project or a film project, time moves like a snail.
Juñot Diaz said, “The whole culture is telling you to hurry, while the art tells you to take your time. Always listen to the art.”
But time moves like a snail if you don’t love what you do.
It turns out that not loving what you do is called stress.
Loving what you do is called Passion.
Stress happens when time moves quickly because you have nothing to do.
Time moves slowly when you have something to do fueled by love and powered by passion.
