”When you lose, you lose forever, and when you win it only lasts a second or two.”
-Don Carpenter, Hard Rain Falling
I wrote about these things called game theory about it last month but here we go again.
Winning is the goal of each person playing the game.
There are different games that we can see, and those games will be won by players who compete against other players.
Dr. James P. Carse describes it perfectly when he wrote the book Finite and Infinite Games, which clearly describes that Finite Games are games where the main objective is to win, and Infinite Games are games where the main objective is to continue to play.
Simon Sinek sees it when he wrote the book The Infinite Game which he understands that in our lives we live in an Infinite Game. Still, most people play with the wrong mindset in a game where there is no such thing as winners, just as there is no such thing as winners in life, because there are only ahead and behind.
For my own understanding, what I see is that we must play the game that we know how to play with the right mindset and attitudes because life is a series of games, but most people are blinded by the fact that to succeed, you need to win.
Winning is overrated, but continuing to play the game is how we keep going and moving forward when uncertainties come.
