”But when we really delve into the reasons for why we can’t let something go, there are only two: an attachment to the past or a fear for the future.”
-Marie Kondo, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing
This is between ourselves, I suppose.
It’s hard to make a decision when you are in those situations.
The situation in which you have too many choices.
The choices of who you choose to love because they have many of them.
The choices of what car you want to buy.
The choices of what house and lot you want to buy.
And if those choices don’t align with your expectations, then who’s gonna blame?
The past is the past and it helps you to navigate a new future.
The fear of the future is the inability to adapt and change.
Scientists and Economists talk about how AI will replace many jobs, and they chronicle it in real time.
If you attach to the past, it will affect you, but if you adapt and change, you are way more likely to live the best life that you want to live.
The best life for me is the ability to do whatever I want to do without a boss, having a stable income, and especially fairness, which maybe you also want in this life.
We live in an unfair world. It’s your choice if you choose to live in a world of fairness.
Waking up in the morning without stress and excitement to go to work, and feeling fulfilled when I go home, is what I want to live in this world. Maybe you also want to live in that world.
Let’s build that world together by doing the work that matters for people who care.
