I think what I understand in this quote from the book is that results are just results, but what matters is the work that you do. It means the art you make regardless of how much time you work for it.
Creating Art is hard, but it’s worth it because it deserves some recognition. Awards and other competitions are just there, you only make and create an Art, not content that deserves to be awarded.
