Boundaries

“Setting Boundaries because that’s how I show my respect, even if I don’t talk doesn’t mean I don’t like the person, it means that it’s better to show or act than to talk.” That’s what Jay always thinks every time a girl approaches him. The guy who doesn’t seem to speak anymore when the girl is there. He was shy and lacked courage. There are other people who almost never run out of words when it opens its mouth. There are people who are good to be with because of their speech and the storytelling of experiences to each other. Maybe that’s how communication is and if there is no communication there is no understanding. Others who barely speak may think that there is a hidden anger. Maybe it’s better if in speech the truth prevails. Maybe everything can be proven by deeds and not by speaking. Jay has never have a girlfriend. He has many male and female friends but the serious relationship really is not there. He always thinks that having a relationship is just an extra problem. It will only hurt everyone’s feelings and it would be better to be a friends because it is able to socialize without feelings involved. The guy who is just laughing and talking. For him, he avoids drama and romance. In this situation Jay looks like a bad boy type but in reality he is a very low-key person and lonely. He is shy and the weakness is girls. There was a girl he almost wanted to be a friend but he knew it was the girlfriend of one of his friends. They met it on Patrick’s birthday, the name of Jay’s friend.
“Men! This is Maryel, my girlfriend.” Patrick said.
Patrick who almost considers each other as brothers. He was rich because his parents were businessmen. Whenever they play basketball, Maryel always comes along. She watches the game and while Jay hasn’t played yet or isn’t in the game, he always looks at Maryel. After they played they sat on the bench and rested. Jay was sweating profusely while drinking water. Until Jay watched Patrick wipe his sweat by his girlfriend Maryel while she was holding the towel.

He is in school and he is in his 1st year of college or freshmen. Jay’s uniform and bag are ready. He left the house. He walked on the highway and waited for a jeep to ride. During his trip he was able to accompany the people to their work. His impression of it is that he looks like this in the future. That was just his impression but honestly he didn’t know what would happen in the future for him. When he arrived at school he immediately got out of the jeep. He found his room and section. When Jay entered the room he saw a girl. He didn’t expect it to be Maryel. He saw the girlfriend of his friend, Patrick. At a university and in a room he didn’t expect Jay to meet Maryel. Maryel approached where Jay was.
“Hi .. aren’t you Patrick’s friend?” said Maryel.
“Yes, you’re Patrick’s girlfriend, aren’t you?” Said Jay.
“Yes, we’re classmates.”

“I just know now that we’re classmates.”
They have no class because it vacant. While Jay was talking to his classmates, Maryel suddenly approached him.
“Jay are you coming home?”
“Yes, why?”
“Can I come with you?”
“It’s okay.”
Jay and Maryel went home at the same time. While they were walking, they did not talk. They just watch what they walk.

“Men how is your class?” Patrick asked.
“It’s ok, Maryel is my classmate.” Said Jay.
“That’s what Maryel told me too.”
Jay and Maryel became friends because maybe they’re classmates and always meet at school. They also always go home together. They ride in a jeep together and sometimes even eat street foods when they pass by. This is the time when Jay seems to have feelings for Maryel. When they came home, Jay texted Maryel and almost talked to her as if he didn’t think that they would always meet. What Jay really wants is to talk to Maryel.

The month of December is vacation because of the holiday season. The group met because it was the birthday of one of their friends with Patrick, Maryel and Jay. They were at Patrick’s house. Jay and Maryel met but they didn’t talk. Patrick holds Maryel’s hand as if he wants to convey something to her. Jay looked at them as if he knew where his place was.
