If I were chosen to direct a major film project and I chose actors who lead the acting, I would choose Joaquin Phoenix because his acting is what you need to make a film that has a dark character.
This film, for me, is what acting is all about. Some actors nowadays can’t act, and even some filmmakers or directors hire actors who call themselves Social Media Influencers.
I think acting is teachable, but those actors know what they need to act, and those directors know that they know how to improve those acts as a rare and great combination to make a great film.
