”Terrorism is often confused or equated with . . . guerrilla warfare,” the terrorism theorist Bruce Hoffman once wrote. “ This is not surprising, since guerrillas often employ the same tactics (assassination, kidnapping, bombings of public gathering-places, hostage-taking, etc.) for the same purposes (to intimidate or coerce, thereby affecting behavior through the arousal of fear) as terrorists.”
-Steve Coll, Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan & Bin Laden from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001
What I understand about this is that conflicts arise due to a lack of understanding of humanity.
So what is humanity?
Humanity is talking about human beings.
When we talk about human beings, there is a sense of trust, loyalty, love, or, perhaps, compassion.
But it always starts with being empathetic to others because without it then it always leads to confusion.
The goal is always and always how we do things to make it better not to make things more complicated.
A human being makes a problem, a human being also gives a solution to it that works together.
