The Flamethrowers

‎”People who are harder to love pose a challenge, and the challenge makes them easier to love. You’re driven to love them. People who want their love easy don’t really want love.”

‎-Rachel Kushner, The Flamethrowers

‎Some people are easy to get but others are harder to get.

‎It turns out that those people who are easy to get are maybe people who really don’t need love, they just want to feel the pleasure of love.

‎By feeling the pleasure, they all need something that gives them satisfaction, and not passionate love.

I talked about this last month when discussing Serotonin, in which the chemical will be released.

‎The kind of feeling that you attach to a certain kind of person leads to obsessive thinking and attachment that leads to despair, sadness, and heartache.

‎The result will be, you become foolish about love.

‎Instead of making you smart and becoming the foundation of what you do, it destroys you.

‎None of us wants that to happen, but instead, love is the foundation of what you’re gonna do, not obsessive thinking and attachment.
