“History was not a matter of missing minutes on the tape. I did not stand helpless before it. I hewed to the texture of collected knowledge, took faith from the solid and availing stuff of our experience. Even if we believe that history is a workwheel powered by human blood — read the speeches of Mussolini — at least we’ve known the thing together. A single narrative sweep, not ten thousand wisps of disinformation.”
-Don DeLillo, Underworld
Facts and Fiction are intricately related nowadays.
Back in the days when there was no Social media, in which Mark Zuckerberg and his genius colleagues invented it, we gathered in places that made us who we are, not just our character, but back in those days, your childhood memories are so sweet because of their playfulness, and that’s real happiness.
Now, in the modern day, the happiness that most people have is dopamine-driven and addictive, so that people can’t sleep at night because the result is anxiety.
Technology is beautiful on its useful side, but when there is too much of it, it’s not helpful to our health.
In my opinion, I think technology and other technological giants that have invented their products are among the most successful enterprises in the world’s history.
But nature is always, and always never out of date, no matter what technological advancements they make, even if they sacrifice nature, you can’t live without nature.
