Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

“Foreign films, Cliff thought, were more like novels. They didn’t care if you liked the main character or not. And Cliff found that intriguing.”

‎-Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

‎That’s what the French New Wave does and the other Italian masterpiece films like 8 ½.

‎In today’s standard most films or most people watch movies by who is the leading role.

‎If it is famous then the directors and producers will expect that it will become a blockbuster.

‎Making films are like team work and it involves many people who have different responsibilities in the production. (e.g. Director, Writer, Cameraman, etc.)

‎On the other hand, writing a novel is a lonely work that only one person can do but he makes up a story like a film. He directs it like a film but is more in-depth.‎
