Dewey Finn: [half asleep] How’d you guys get in there?
Freddy Jones: Front door was open.
Dewey Finn: Why aren’t you guys at school?
Lawrence: We did what you told us. We stuck it to the Man.
Dewey Finn: Forget about everything I told you. Look, I’m a loser, okay? You listen to my advice, you’ll end up like me with nothing.
Freddy Jones: Come on, man, quit goofing around. This is serious business. We’re on a mission. One great rock show could change the world. Look out the window.
Dewey Finn: [looks outside to find the school bus with all the other kids calling for him to come down] No way… That is so punk rock…
Every day is a chance to do something.
Not just waking up, eating breakfast, getting a shower or taking a bath, and then going to work or school, and when you get home, falling asleep in bed.
Those things are essential in daily life.
That’s a meaningless and mostly boring life but that is life.
We are alive because we have things to do more important enough to contribute something that we are proud of.
That the work we do becomes true and lasts for maybe 10 or 20 years later.
Our lives consist of regrets or fulfillments and it’s your choice.
