“We were scared, but fear doesn’t look the same as desperation.”
-Mariana Enríquez, The Dangers of Smoking in Bed
If you experience fear, it may be worth trying to act rather than being paralyzed by it.
Fear destroys dreams, weakens motivation, and lingers in the mind, preventing the person from reaching their full potential.
Desperation is doing something that has ego.
Ryan Holiday calls it, “Ego is the enemy.”
Don’t become desperate when you feel fear; rather, those fears will become a real asset, because if someone feels fear, it’s because they are human, and that will become a motivation to do something good.
