Story because each of us has a story or experience.
Song because a song has a story.
From my experience, I produce a novel by writing a story+song.
A novel by definition from Latin Novus which means “New”
Write that story+song and improve it, it doesn’t matter whether it is perfect as long as you have it then you can produce a novel.
