“Each man can only be sure of his version of the truth.”
-Rebecca Perry, May We Feed the King
What is true is that each human being has different experiences, but there is something called relevance that helps us empathize, and that is what makes humanity work.
When you read a book, you put your perspective onto someone else’s by reading about their experiences and making them your own.
We can also see that work in films because films have the power to make something worth watching and feel like you are inside or part of those films.
Art is a kind of thing that you can’t force someone to see, but you put something worth talking about because, in the first place, you make it a remarkable thing.
Do you have the energy and effort to make it remarkable? Because the truth is, it’s hard.
I hope we choose to matter because in the end it’s worth it.
