Some first-person narrative novels have a concept of a detective genre.
When we talk about Detective novels you know some of it like the novels of Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett and so forth that created the characters of the PI (Private Eye)
When writing in this genre, it is not the question of creating a Detective novel, just write some events or situations in which the goal is to solve the puzzle of the crime or find something.
Genre is important but writing and creating some events chapter by chapter that solves the mystery than the genre of detective novel shows up.
