They are different because we can choose popularity or impact?
Popularity means it is driven or curated by institutions or companies themselves that they choose to advertise and sell to the bigger market like Publisher for Books and Producer for Films.
The impact is the work that you do that changes something or to makes change happen that people can’t help but talk about it.
You can have popularity but that doesn’t mean you have an impact, You can have an impact and it’s okay if it is not popular.
