Whether you are Writing your Novel in a Genre you choose from, in a story of course there is a Villain.
If there is no Villain, How the story makes sense for the Hero.
Creating a Villain is something like the movie titled Joker Starring Joaquin Phoenix.
If your Novel has an origin story, then you have already a Novel to write because an origin story of a Villain is making it sense for the Hero.
If you recognize already in your Novel the Villain, So you can think of it, Who is the Hero?
If you can think Who is the Hero because you recognize the Villain, then write that novel in your head.
