Think about an Iceberg in the sea, especially in the continent of the Arctic and Antarctica.

We know that an Iceberg is on the top of that has a small part of ice but in the bottom of it has a huge part of the ice.

Ernest Hemingway created this concept of Iceberg for his writing.

To those who didn’t know, who is he, he is a writer, novelist, or the author of novels such as The Sun Also Rises, The Old man and the Sea which was awarded by Nobel Prize in Literature and Pulitzer Prize.

What I learn in his concept especially in my Writing is the Simplicity of sentences, paragraphs, and plot.

In sentences, what I write is short and clear sentences especially in my book Love at First Write (a novella) that people easily understand, as well as the paragraphs.

In the plot, especially in the story that I write, I use the Iceberg Concept.

What I do is, I don’t show first the origin story of one of the characters unless there is the right time to show it like an Iceberg, It depends on the level of the water in the sea.

It means I show a few actions but when the right time is there like when the level of water in the sea is high, then I show up the plot twist of the story I write.

This is the concept I use when I write my book Love at First Write (a novella) which is available on Amazon.
