”The dream of a novel was more resilient than other kinds of dreaming. It could be interrupted in mid-sentence and snapped back into later.”
-Jonathan Franzen, Crossroads
When you dream it’s real that you are dreaming.
But it’s just a dream.
It means that it’s natural to have a dream while you sleep and it’s a real act.
The same is true in writing.
While writing the novel, the writer uses imagination and sometimes daydreams.
He thinks about his dreams, and they become a novel.
